Beauty and Style Section
During my internship at MEGA Magazine, I worked across editorial design, illustration, and production, supporting the creation of a full magazine issue. I collaborated closely with the art, editorial, and beauty teams, contributing to both visual execution and behind-the-scenes processes that shape fashion editorials from concept development to print. The role allowed me to experience how design functions within a multidisciplinary editorial environment.
I designed multiple page layouts for a magazine issue, working within MEGA’s established grid systems and typographic guidelines. The process required careful consideration of visual hierarchy, pacing, and image-text balance to maintain consistency while enhancing the narrative flow of each spread. Through this work, I developed a stronger sensitivity to how layout design supports editorial storytelling, particularly within fashion content, where mood and rhythm are essential.

I created a hand-illustrated watercolor advertisement for Louis Vuitton, integrating traditional illustration into a contemporary fashion context. The project challenged me to translate the brand’s luxury values into an expressive yet refined visual language. Working with watercolor emphasized the importance of texture, composition, and color accuracy, while also requiring thoughtful consideration of print reproduction for a high-end editorial environment.
I also assisted the editorial team during the cover story photoshoot, providing on-set support and documenting the process through behind-the-scenes photography. Observing the collaboration between editors, stylists, photographers, and designers gave me insight into how creative direction is executed under real production constraints. This experience strengthened my understanding of how editorial concepts are translated into final visual narratives.
This internship expanded my understanding of the fashion editorial industry by allowing me to work across multiple stages of the publication process. I gained practical experience in print design, luxury brand communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, while learning to adapt quickly within a fast-paced creative environment. It shaped my approach to visual storytelling by understanding intentional design, consideration of brand identity, and the collaborative processes behind impactful editorial work. These lessons continue to influence how I approach design within fashion and publishing contexts.
